Day one of my documented attempts to continue to enjoy DOTA 2.
Full disclosure I really enjoy DOTA 2 right now. However I didn't always. I'm writing this to try to analyze how I changed and started consistently enjoying this game, WITHOUT gaining MMR. In fact my rank has arguable decreased in recent times even as my enjoyment has increased. I can't explain why, yet. But keep reading and we might both find out together.
Another purpose of this blog is to try to help myself improve and gain MMR without losing the enjoyment. My theory is that this exercise in self-reflection will help me track gains but also nip enjoyment destroying thought patterns in the bud. We'll see how it goes.
In my next post I'll describe my improvement plan.
